20 UXO Items Found on Offshore Wind Farm Development

At least 20No. items of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) have been found on an offshore wind farm development in the North Sea.  A mixture of German mines and Allied bombs are understood to have been uncovered on the site of the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm, with several more along its cable route to shore.

Preparations are being made for the items to be removed or destroyed in controlled explosions depending on their condition and hazardous nature.
