We were commissioned to undertake a detailed UXO Risk Assessment for a site in North Wales.
Our preliminary risk assessment had identified some potentially significant WWII bombing in the area so we wanted to find local Air Raid Precaution (ARP) records to determine whether the site itself was bombed.
One of our UXO Risk Assessors visited the Flintshire Record Office and was able to locate contemporary air raid logs and war damage accounts.
These and other records helped us to confirm that the site had not been bombed during the war and the UXO risk for the proposed works was low.
