We recently visited the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) in Belfast’s historic Titanic Quarter.
We were particularly interested in the arrival of American troops into Northern Ireland in 1942 who were issued with welcome packs including this message from Winston Churchill.
The records we found will help us piece together the history of our site and understand its Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) hazard.
