Cannonballs Washed up on Coastline at Gosport

A more novel exercise for the Royal Navy’s Fleet Diving Squadron this week as they were called out to salvage cannonballs washed up on the Gosport coast.

Members of the public had been collecting the items before concern was raised about their condition and provenance. Authorities have now recovered more than a dozen of the cannonballs.
