Controlled Explosion After Mortar Found in Wolverhampton Canal

A controlled explosion was carried out after the discovery of a mortar in the canal at Wolverhampton. The towpath and adjacent bridges were sealed off to pedestrians as the Police secured the scene.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended and removed the device for safe detonation elsewhere.
