Controlled Explosion as WWII Mortar Found in Littlehampton

A controlled explosion was undertaken at Littlehampton Beach in West Sussex after the discovery of a suspected WWII mortar at a construction site. The device was uncovered by workers at the rear of a nearby leisure centre, resulting in the mobilisation of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.
