Controlled Explosion for Grenade Found on Lymington Beach

A controlled explosion was carried out after the discovery of a WWII-era hand grenade on a secluded part of coastline at Lymington in Hampshire.

Discovered by a local beach-comber, the grenade was deemed as ‘live and unstable’ by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, making a controlled detonation a necessity.
