Controlled Explosion for Grenade Pulled From the River Thames at Lechlade

Roads and businesses were closed in Lechlade, Gloucestershire after a grenade was pulled out of the River Thames by a magnet fisherman. The device was found near the Halfpenny Bridge, which was closed, along with an adjacent pub.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended and removed the device to a nearby field where it was destroyed in a controlled explosion.
