Two items of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) were discovered during works at the Spaldington Airfield wind farm site near Howden in East Yorkshire.
The type of UXO found has not been disclosed but it is thought they relate to a former dispersed site for Royal Air Force (RAF) Breighton, a nearby airfield used by Bomber Command during World War Two.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised from Catterick Garrison to destroy the devices in a controlled explosion.
