Controlled Explosion for WWII-Era Device Found in West Midlands Garden

A controlled explosion was undertaken after the discovery of a suspected World War Two-era device in a garden in Bearwood, West Midlands.

Police evacuated nearby properties as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised to the area. The EOD team removed the Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) – type unconfirmed – to nearby woodland where a controlled detonation was carried out.
