An RAF Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team carried out a controlled explosion on a WWII hand grenade after it was found in a garage in Watton, Norfolk.
The EOD team arrived at the scene after the local police were initially alerted, before moving the grenade to a nearby field for destruction.
No. 36 Hand Grenades (Mills Bombs) are among the most commonly-found ordnance items in the UK, having been a crucial part of the armouries of both the Armed Forces and the Home Guard during WWII.
