A WWII mortar was destroyed in a controlled explosion after being found in Brighton.
The device was found in Bevendean by a dog walker and transported to a safe area by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team for destruction.
Residents throughout the area reported hearing a loud bang late in the evening as the mortar was detonated.
