Couple Find Large Cache of Munitions in Burnham Garden

A couple in Burnham-on-Sea had a nasty shock after they uncovered a large cache of munitions whilst working in their garden. A mixture of shells, grenades and incendiary bombs was eventually uncovered within excavated soil.

The Police mobilised an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team which confirmed that several of the items were still live. They were taken to nearby Berrow Beach for a controlled explosion.
