Just a couple of days after a mortar was found at the Royal Cromer Golf Club, the Norfolk seaside town’s pier was cordoned off after suspected ordnance was washed up on the adjacent beach.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was at the scene to determine the nature of the item and take appropriate steps to ensure its safe removal.
