Dredger Brings Wartime Shell into Shoreham Port

Not for the first time in recent months, an unexploded shell was found on board a dredger docking at Shoreham Port. The Coastguard were informed, and they duly notified an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team to assess the device.

The shell was deemed to be live and was removed from the vessel for safe disposal within the port area.
