Police evacuated a street in Duxford, Cambridgeshire after a boy brought home a vintage shell he had found nearby. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called to the property and confirmed the item as a 6-pound solid shot shell containing no explosives.
The shell was removed for safe disposal and the village reminded of the need to treat suspicious items with the respect they deserve.
