This week we have been researching a former military camp in Shropshire.
The camp was used to train thousands of troops during World War One (WWI) and in World War Two (WWII) accommodated regiments from the Royal Artillery (RA).
Zetica’s analysis of LiDAR imagery, historical aerial photography, and regimental record books helped us get a detailed understanding of site operations.
This begins to account for the recent finds of live artillery shells in the vicinity of the Site and allowed us to put in place a proactive risk mitigation plan for the development, including a non-intrusive geophysical survey to detect potential UXO.
