Several homes were evacuated and a street cordoned off after a resident found an unexploded grenade whilst gardening.
Police put in place a security cordon as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised. The EOD team removed the grenade and took it to a local field where it was safely destroyed i a controlled explosion:
