Roads were closed in Deansgate, Manchester after the discovery of a grenade in the canal. A stretch of the canal near Deansgate Locks was also cordoned off as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised.
The EOD team removed the device and the area was re-opened.
