A controlled explosion was carried out after a hand grenade was found by a child on Cultra beach in County Down.
The boy called the Police who mobilised an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team. The EOD team assessed that the grenade was of World War One vintage and they moved it to a park where it was rendered safe.
