Grenade Fuzes Found on Quayside at Brixham Harbour

A security cordon was put in place at Brixham Harbour and ferries were diverted after a box of grenade fuzes was found on the quayside. It is believed that the munitions may have been dredged up by a fishing boat and deposited in the harbour.

A Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was tasked and eventually removed more than 100 of the fuzes.  It is the latest in a succession of similar incidents occurring at Brixham.
