An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called to a section of towpath along the Union Canal in Edinburgh after a hand grenade was found. It is considered that the grenade may have been fished from the canal and left along its banks.
The Police put in place a security cordon to allow the EOD team to deal with the device.
