A hand grenade found beneath a bridge in Canterbury has been removed by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team. Police put in place a security cordon after a member of the public spied the device at The Friars near Marlowe Theatre.
The grenade was considered safe to move and no controlled explosion was required.
