A resident got a nasty surprise when they uncovered a hand grenade whilst gardening at their home in Quorn near Loughborough. The home was evacuated and a security cordon put in place as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised.
The EOD team safely removed the device and the cordon was lifted.
