Hand Grenade Found on the Beach at Broadstairs

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team undertook a controlled explosion after a hand grenade was found on the beach at Broadstairs.

Such finds are not rare along Britain’s coastline, particularly in Kent, which was the location of numerous military training areas during both WWI and WWII.
