Residents uprooting a hedge in their back garden in Bury St Edmunds got a nasty surprise when they uncovered a live mortar.
The commonly-found munition was removed by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and destroyed in a controlled explosion in a nearby field.
