Magnet Fisherman Hooks Grenade From River Wensum in Norwich

It’s becoming a familiar refrain…a magnet fisherman has pulled a WWII hand grenade out of the River Wensum in Norwich. It is almost a year to the day that a similar device was pulled from the same stretch of river, requiring a controlled explosion by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.

An EOD team was also mobilised for this latest incident and it was expected to take similar action.

As for the magnet fishermen…they continue to be one of the main causes of EOD call-outs in the country at the present time.
