The magnet fishermen will be out in force with our summer heatwave and another one has snagged an historic piece of ordnance, this time at Offord Lock in Cambridgeshire. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called after a suspected WWII hand grenade was pulled out of the River Great Ouse.
After a safety cordon had been put in place, the EOD team assessed the device before removing to a nearby field for a controlled explosion.
