Magnet Fishermen Strike Again! This Time a Grenade in Wigston, Leicestershire

In what is becoming an increasingly common occurrence, two magnet fishermen pulled a hand grenade out of a river in Wigston, Leicestershire. It follows recent incidents where hobbyists have inadvertently landed Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), other items including artillery shells and mortars.

After an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team arrived, it was determined that the grenade was live and it was removed to a nearby field for a controlled explosion.
