Novice metal detectorists in Invergordon were surprised to encounter a mortar bomb during their search. After calling the Police, a 300m security cordon was put in place whilst an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised to the scene.
The EOD team removed the device for safe disposal.
