Emergency services were once again summoned to Medmerry Beach near Selsey in West Sussex after recent storms exposed 2No. additional items of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO).
A Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team arrived and carried out controlled explosions on the devices.
This is the latest in a series of UXO finds at the beach, which was used as a bombing and air-to-ground firing range during World War Two. Coastal erosion and winter storms periodically expose ordnance that has been left in situ for more than 70 years.
