A resident got an unwelcome surprise when he dug up a mortar bomb in his back garden in Walton, Liverpool. After the Police were informed, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised.
After the evacuation of nearby properties, the device was fortunately considered safe and was removed for disposal.
