A second Unexploded Bomb (UXB) has been found in the Bristol Channel during preparations for the Hinkley Point C nuclear development. The suspected 250lb UXB follows on from the discovery of a 500lb air-dropped device nine days ago.
As before, the Coastguard has put a safety cordon in place to deter trespassing vessels prior to a controlled explosion being carried out by a Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.
