An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team has carried out a controlled explosion after a suspected unexploded shell was found on the beach at East Preston in West Sussex.
The Littlehampton Coastguard was initially notified and they called in the EOD team which, after the tide had gone out, destroyed the device in situ.
