A suspected Unexploded Bomb (UXB) was found during routine inspections of Birnbeck Pier in Weston-super-Mare. The Coastguard alerted an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team who attended the scene and confirmed that the device was safe.
It appears to have been an empty bomb casing, which will hopefully be preserved for storage in a local museum.
