A magnet fisherman managed to haul out a suspected German anti-tank device from Singleton Lake in Ashford, Kent. Identified as a Panzerfaust, the device resulted in a Police cordon being established around the lake prior to the arrival of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team. A controlled explosion was subsequently carried out.
The most likely explanation for such a find is that it was a souvenir brought back from Germany during WWII before being disposed of at a later date.
