Suspected Grenade Found in the Grand Union Canal in Leicester

Road closures were put in place in Leicester after the discovery of a suspected World War Two hand grenade in the Grand Union Canal near Bede Park.  As is becoming rather common, the device was found by a magnet fisherman.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called out by Police to deal with the grenade.
