6No. suspected training mortars were found on a building site in Costock, Nottinghamshire. The Police mobilised an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team to assess the devices.
The mortars were found to be sand-filled – presumably used for practice during WWII – and were safely removed for disposal.
