Third Selsey Call-Out in Three Weeks for Bomb Squad

For the third time in three weeks an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit has been called out to Medmerry Beach at Selsey to deal with historic ordnance. The site of a former bombing and air-to-ground range, Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) is regularly being exposed along this stretch of coastline, particularly during recent storms.

The Coastguard was initially notified and they called out the EOD team which undertook a controlled explosion.
