Three Grenades Pulled from the River Soar in Leicester

It was an eventful weekend along the banks of the River Soar in Leicester, after three grenades were pulled from the river by magnet fishermen.  An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called out on two separate occasions after the finds along different sections of the river during a large gathering of the hobbyists.

It is understood that the grenades were removed to a nearby field where a controlled explosion was carried out.
