An unexploded mortar was found on farmland at Talsarnau in Gwynedd, North Wales. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised and carried out a controlled explosion.
Large parts of the Welsh countryside were used for military training during the World Wars, with mortars a relatively common find in the region.
