Part of the Forth & Clyde Canal was cordoned off near Bishopbriggs in East Dunbartonshire after an unexploded mortar was found. The device is understood to have been found in the canal and required the mobilisation of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team to render it safe.
