An unexploded mortar was found in a field near the village of Addingham, outside of Ilkley in Yorkshire. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised to the site where they carried out a controlled explosion.
Mortars are one of the most common UXO finds in the UK, having been extensively used during military training exercises in both World War One and World War Two.
