An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised to Portslade-on-Sea after an unexploded shell was found at industrial premises. The shell is thought to have been dredged up offshore and inadvertently transported onto the site.
No evacuation was necessary and the EOD team carried out a controlled explosion.
