Unexploded Shell Found on Chessington Building Site

bomb-jpg-galleryA suspected unexploded shell was unearthed during building works off Bailey Crescent in Chessington, Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames yesterday.

Some local residents voluntarily left their homes and a safety cordon was put in place as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team came to assess the device. It was subsequently declared safe and removed.
