An unexploded shell was found in the River Arun near Littlehampton Harbour in West Sussex. After the Coastguard were alerted a security cordon was put in place and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team from HMNB Portsmouth mobilised.
The EOD team ensured that the item was safe before removing it for disposal.
