Unexploded WWII Bomb Found in Solihull

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called to Solihull after an unexploded bomb from World War Two (WWII) was discovered by builders.

The device was found in the grounds of a bungalow during redevelopment works and resulted in several road closures, evacuations of local properties and the suspension of nearby railway services.

The EOD team removed the bomb to a nearby farm where it was destroyed in a controlled explosion.
