An unexploded WWII shell was found on a site at Imperial Way in Croydon, causing a fair bit of traffic chaos in a typically busy part of south London. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised and they assessed the shell as safe to move for disposal elsewhere.
