UXB at Wembley Stadium

A 50kg German UXB has been found during excavations near Wembley Stadium. Members of the Army Royal Logistics Corps are on site to safely defuze and remove the bomb. The find follows on from the discovery in March of a 250kg UXB at Bermondsey that caused chaos in Central London. These discoveries testify to the continued threat posed by WWII munitions and highlight the importance for all contractors (particularly those working in London) to obtain a thorough risk assessment so that they sufficiently address the potential UXO risk on their site and ensure the safety of all personnel.
