A controlled explosion has been undertaken at a construction site in Hartlepool after the discovery of an ‘old bomb’. Surrounding roads were sealed off by Police as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised to deal with the device.
The type of ordnance is not specified in news reports.
